Hazmat Endorsement at a Glance!

The Hazmat Endorsement Course is designed for CDL holders or CDL permit holders who want to legally and safely transport hazardous materials. Specifically, it prepares trainees to:
- Meet federal training requirements for a Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement under FMCSR § 383.93(c)(4).
- Learn the rules, safety practices, and procedures for transporting toxic, volatile, or otherwise hazardous substances.
- Pass the course assessment (minimum 80%), which allows the trainee’s information to be submitted to the Training Provider Registry (TPR).
- Become eligible for the state-administered Hazmat knowledge test, which is the final step to officially earn the H endorsement.
In short: This course prepares drivers for a career transporting hazardous materials safely and legally, giving them the training, knowledge, and credentials needed to obtain the H endorsement and expand their professional opportunities in the trucking industry.

Prerequisites
A Certificate of Completion prepares you for a career as a Truck Driver of Hazardous Materials. Prerequisites for this program include:
- Hold a valid CDL License or pass the CDL Permit Test
- Pass the HAZMAT Knowledge test
- Pass a Federal Security Clearance
