Northeast Texas Community College TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) students, along with Work4College participants, recently enjoyed an incredible day of learning and exploration!
During this trip, students visited East Texas Baptist University (ETBU), where they learned about transfer opportunities, academic programs, and campus life. A guided boat tour of beautiful Caddo Lake, giving students the chance to experience one of Texas’ most unique natural treasures while learning about its rich history and ecosystem. Students had lunch in Historic Downtown Jefferson, where they explored the local culture, history, and small businesses.
Experiences like these are an important part of the TRIO SSS program. Through cultural enrichment activities and university transfer visits, we help our students expand their perspectives, build confidence, and prepare for success beyond NTCC.
