Irene Richardson ceramics exhibit on display at NTCC
The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department will host a ceramics exhibit featuring the work of Irene Richardson October 5-24 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A reception with the artist will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 12:30 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

Annual NIRA Rodeo planned
Northeast Texas Community College will host its annual National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) rodeo October 19-20 at Elite Western Arena. The college rodeo action will begin at 7:30 Friday night and at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
College to host annual Scare Affair Oct. 20
It’s time to put on your best Halloween costume, dust off your trick-or-treat basket and head out to Northeast Texas Community College for the 31st annual Scare Affair.
The event is from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20th on the plaza of the main NTCC campus (located on FM 1735 near Chapel Hill ISD). There will be free candy for all trick-or-treaters, low-cost games for all ages, a costume contest with cash prizes and much more!
NTCC seeks community feedback for strategic plan
Northeast Texas Community College is seeking community feedback as they plan for the next five years. The public is invited to participate by completing the strategic planning survey at www.ntcc.edu/survey by October 15. Results of this survey will be used directly to help shape the planning process.
Earlier this summer, a strategic plan steering committee, made up of faculty, staff, students and community members was established to begin working on the strategic plan.

Going to the Titus County Fair this weekend? Make sure to stop by to visit the NTCC Nursing booth in the Civic Center and the NTCC Ag trailer by the ag barn. A&M-Texarkana at NTCC is also set up in the Civic Center!
Men's soccer dominates #10 Western Texas College
The men's soccer team took on #10 Western Texas after having to cancel the game on Saturday against Hill College due to the rain. Due to the field conditions the game started off slow for both teams. In the 27thminute Mandel Steward (assist by Ronaldo Brown) was able to break the tie in the game and give the Eagles the early lead.
