TRMC Auxiliary gives six NTCC scholarships
The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently presented the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation with $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at NTCC majoring in a health sciences field. Cypress Bank donates laptop to Honors Northeast
For the ninth consecutive year, Cypress Bank has presented a MacBook laptop for the use of Northeast Texas Community College honors students. This year?s recipient, Chesney Michael Davis, graduated third in his class from Pittsburg High School.
NTCC Business Technology Building to be named after Bart Scharlach
The board of the Bart Scharlach Memorial Foundation (BSMF) recently voted to move the management of the fund?s assets to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. In doing so, the gift reached the established level to rename both the Business Technology (BT) Building and the Whatley Center Auditorium on the NTCC campus.
The BT Building is now named the Bart Scharlach Business Technology Building, and the Whatley Center Auditorium is the Scharlach Auditorium.

Perryman gives to NTCC Work Scholarship Program
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $1,500 gift from Richard Perryman to support the NTCC Work Scholarship Program. Perryman (right) is pictured presenting the gift to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement. The NTCC Work Scholarship Program gives students the opportunity to work during the summer to earn funds to pay for college for the upcoming year. The goal of the program is to foster a strong work ethic while allowing students to avoid student debt.
Texas Heritage National Bank gives NTCC Honors scholarship
Texas Heritage National Bank recently gave $4,000 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. The funds will be used to sponsor a Presidential Scholar in Honors Northeast, NTCC?s nationally-recognized honors program. American Legion Post 0210 gives veteran scholarships
American Legion Post 0210 (Mount Pleasant) recently presented a check for $3,000 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. NTCC names library for Charlie and Helen Hampton
Northeast Texas Community College recently announced that its library has been renamed the Charlie and Helen Hampton Learning Resource Center (LRC). The NTCC Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the new building name in their April board meeting. This is the first name change in a recently-launched fundraising/naming campaign by the NTCC Foundation. The naming campaign comes as the campus interior undergoes a major transformation.

International Sulphur gives five transfer scholarships
International Sulphur, Inc. recently made a scholarship donation to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation.†Marci Henderson (left), is pictured presenting a $5,000 check to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement. The funds will be used to award five $1,000 scholarships to students who graduated from NTCC in the spring of 2016†and†will be†transferring to four-year†universities†this fall.
NTCC receives gift to restore John Biggers mural
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $10,000 gift from the East Texas Communities Foundation and the Burt and Nancy Marans Estate. Dr. Brad Johnson, NTCC President (right) and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement, are pictured receiving the donation. †The funds will be used to begin the restoration process for the Dr. John Biggers mural that will be relocated from Pewitt Elementary School to the NTCC Charlie and Helen Hampton Learning Resource Center.
Dr. Tawny Nix gives scholarships
Dr. Tawny Nix, Director of the Northeast Texas Community College Medical Assistant program, recently contributed $2,000 to the NTCC Foundation. The funds will provide scholarships to students majoring in Medical Assistant, Medical Coding or Health Informatics.
