The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $25,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. Students from the Carroll Shelby Automotive Program at Northeast Texas Community College attended the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada last week. In addition to attending one of the largest automotive trade shows in the world, students also had the opportunity to attend a special event at the Carroll Shelby Heritage Center at the invitation of Shelby American and the Carroll Shelby Foundation.

Auto-body isn’t the kind of career that one would think involves a lot of art. However, students from the auto-body program received the chance to tap into their creative side and design the paint scheme for a car that once belonged to the police academy.
