The NTCC Eagles Athletic Department is looking for a motivated student interested in social media management and sports marketing to serve as a volunteer intern this semester.

The internship will focus on promoting NTCC Athletics through social media advertising, creating game day graphics, and designing content for special events. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build a portfolio, and strengthen your résumé or college transfer applications.

Effective Feb. 4, 2026, the Northeast Texas Community College RN and VN Nursing Programs have been granted candidacy status for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The candidacy is valid through Spring 2028. This marks the first time in NTCC history that the college’s nursing programs have achieved candidate status.

The NTCC Eagles Rodeo team is excited to welcome Drew Madden as its new assistant coach. A first-generation cowboy from Sloughhouse, California, Coach Madden is a graduate of East Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Science and also holds an associate degree in AG Science and Technology from West Hills Community College in Coalinga.

The NTCC Faculty Senate is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship, which helps students with financial need continue their education. Eligible students must be Texas residents, have completed at least 15 semester credit hours, and receive $500 or less in scholarship funding. 

We’re excited to share that our very own Dr. Melissa Fulgham, Professor of History and Division Chair for Humanities & Social Sciences, has been featured in the East Texas Historical Society’s Pine Cone Profiles! The profile highlights Dr. Fulgham’s return to her East Texas roots, her research on the Progressive Era and women’s history, her co-authorship of books on historic Mount Pleasant, and her active role in the local history community.

The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department will open its first exhibit of the Spring 2026 semester with a pottery exhibition by artist Cindy Fuqua. The exhibit will be on display Friday, Feb. 6, through Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the Whatley Center Foyer.

An artist reception will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 12:30–1:20 p.m. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will host two exciting live performances in early February, offering entertainment for audiences of all ages.

Northeast Texas Community College students graduating this spring and planning to transfer to a four-year university in the fall are encouraged to apply for the International Sulphur Transfer Scholarship.

Northeast Texas Community College officially opened its new TRIO Student Support Services Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony held Wednesday, Feb. 4. The event marked the launch of the federally funded program designed to help eligible students succeed in college through personalized academic support and resources.
