The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo team will host its 2nd Annual Alumni Dinner and Fundraiser on Saturday, May 6th at The Pavilion Becky and Buddy McCollum Events Center on the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Grounds.
The evening will start at 5:30 pm with a Social Hour. Texas Road House will be catering the event with the meal to start at 6:30pm and then a live auction and live music and dancing to follow.
The Northeast Texas Community College Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Four new students recently graduated from the program. If you are looking for something fun to do this Saturday, head to downtown Pittsburg and check out the Texas Hot Link Festival. The excitement begins at 10 a.m. and will feature a variety of food, vendors, concerts and events. The festival is commemorating the 100th birthday of Carroll Shelby with several of the day's events themed around the late racing legend. These will include a car show hosted by the NTCC Shelby Automotive Program (starting at 10 a.m.

Northeast Texas Community College Baseball hosted the North Conference leading Navarro Bulldogs on Saturday, April 22nd and came away with a series split with Navarro winning game one 10-2 and NTCC taking the win in game two, 4-3.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation finished East Texas Giving Day at the top of the leaderboard for the second year in a row this Tuesday. NTCC raised a whopping $244,730 via the annual fundraising event that has become a regional tradition.
In addition to raising the most money, NTCC also finished with the highest number of donations at 208. Nita May, NTCC Director of Development and event organizer, said that these numbers reflect the enthusiasm and effort put forth by NTCC employees, students and community members.

The first-ever pickleball class at NTCC wrapped up last week. The course was hosted by the continuing education department and taught by Marc Levesque. A total of 12 people participated and had a great time learning more about the growing sport. Congrats to our first pickleball graduates!
EVENT RESCHEDULED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER:
The NTCC Baptist Student Ministry will host a FREE pickleball tournament on Sunday, April 30th at 2 p.m. at the NTCC tennis courts. All students, faculty, staff and their immediate family members are welcome to participate. Come for food, fun and a chance to compete for $500 in cash prizes!
