Northeast Texas Community College’s Continuing Education department will soon host a free six-week seminar series designed to help community members better prepare for retirement.
The series, Critical Retirement Essentials, will be led by Kevin Welborn of Monticello Financial Group and will cover a variety of important financial topics, including retirement strategies, 401(k) rollovers, estate planning and 1035 exchanges.

Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Continuing Education is offering a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course December 1-5 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the NTCC campus (2886 FM 1735, Mount Pleasant).
Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is excited to announce the launch of its new Teen Driver’s Education Program, offered through the college’s Continuing Education program. The course will run October 13 through November 6 and provides local families with a much-needed option for professional driver’s education without having to rely on parent-taught instruction.
The Northeast Texas Community College Vet Assistant program recently celebrated its second graduating class on Thursday, August 28th, 2025. Fourteen new students recently graduated from the program (not listed as shown in photo): Gavin Atkinson, Naomi Cole, Abby Creveling, Cale DeLisi, Madilynn Dunn, Vanessa Guerrero, April Lofton, Natalie Lopez, Judith Lowe, Yaritza Mendez Duran, Natalia Nava, Blaze Price, Violet Ramirez and Audrie Wright.
The Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education Department is now enrolling for its next HVAC Installer Helper Program, which begins September 23, 2025.
The Northeast Texas Community College Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Four new students recently graduated from the program.
The four-week professional driving academy includes 160 hours of training and the cost includes the DOT physical, drug screen, MVR and CDL permit. Students spend 50 hours in the classroom and 110 hours on the road driving. The cost is $4,500 and financial aid may be available.
Northeast Texas Community College wrapped up another exciting year of Kids Discovery College, welcoming over 100 young students to campus for two weeks of hands-on exploration, creativity, and discovery. With 12 engaging courses ranging from science and theater to technology and art, the camp offered local youth an unforgettable summer experience.
