How Can We Help You?

NTCC offers tutoring in both Math and writing for ALL content areas. Trained student tutors are available FREE to assist with math and any subject writing assignments. Our tutors offer an additional level of support that helps students realize academic success.

Getting Help

NTCC tutors are proud to offer in-person and individualized help to students looking to get ahead. NTCC and TAMUT at NTCC students can walk in for assistance when a tutor is scheduled to work. Writing tutors can be found in H110, and STEM tutors are in MS112.

Email a Tutor

Students can contact a tutor by emailing tutoring@ntcc.edu. Make sure emails contain your full name, provide instructor’s name, course and assignment and any other course material needed to understand the assignment. The email should also contain your time availability to be reached via Teams for virtual sessions if necessary or to set up a face-to-face appointment.

Online Tutoring

Northeast Texas Community College wants to give you the resources to succeed. Students can access free online tutoring through tutor.com in your portal.

  • Most Tutor.com services are available 24/7 to assist you with questions you may have. Certain subjects are offered during specific hours due to tutor availability.
  • Our partnership with Tutor.com is designed to give you topic preparation in available subjects as an extension of your class materials and teaching.
  • All students are eligible for up to 10 hours of online tutoring services per semester for available courses. Your time is only counted when you are in a live session or when a tutor is reviewing your paper.
  • For additional questions regarding Tutor.com contact our Transfer Support Team at 903-434-8311.

What Can You Expect from Tutoring?

Our tutors are well-trained and passionate about helping others. They will help you develop the knowledge and skills that lead to success.

Tutors ask students to think critically and challenge themselves. To get the most out of your tutoring session, we encourage you to begin your assignment before coming for help. We can then offer suggestions for polishing what you have started.

Depending on demand, assistance is offered in either a one-on-one or group setting. To ensure that you get individualized help, schedule an appointment.
