Time is running out to get your tickets for The Texas Tenors at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts! They will perform on Friday, Feb. 3rd at 7:30 p.m. Limited tickets are available for purchase online at www.whatleycenter.com or by calling the box office at 903-434-8181.
The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that it will host a benefit piano concert by NTCC President Dr. Ron Clinton on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2:30 p.m.
If you’ve been wondering about the big trash receptacles in front of the old Physical Fitness Annex (PFA) this week or all the digging around it last fall, wonder no more. The digging was to repair an issue with water in the building and the trash receptacles were for cleaning out old items being stored in the building.
The Northeast Texas Community College EMS Program recently went through their re-accreditation process with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
An NTCC Funeral Service graduate was recently featured in the December issue of Texas Director, a trade publication for those in the funeral services industry. Steven D. Spruiells, of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, graduated from NTCC in December 2022.
For their performance in the fall of 2022 in challenging honors seminars at NTCC in relation to their peers, two Presidential Scholars will win $100 checks. Sophomore Skylar Fondren, president of the honors student council, obtained the highest combined grade in the Humusic Seminar.
Alpha Mu Chi, the Northeast Texas Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, has released a documentary video about dance as an international art form. The video, entitled “Rhythm of the Soul: Just Dance 5,” is available to view online by clicking here.
We are back in action this spring. Here is our weekly installment of meet the Coaches. This week we spotlight, NTCC Softball Head Coach, Joshua Freeman. Coach Freeman is in his third season as the Leader of the Eagle Softball program. Coach Josh came to NTCC from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. Christopher Newport University is a NCAA Division III program where he served as Assistant head coach.

NTCC was a good choice for me because it allowed me to have some of the greatest experiences of my life. It allowed me to move out and be on my own and learn who I am as a person. I would recommend others to NTCC for continuing their education because the professors are the best around and will work with you until you understand the material.
