Fans of Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Athletics now have a new way to keep up with their favorite teams. NTCC will use Twitter (@NTCCathletics) to post game information, updates, and scores.
"Twitter is a great platform for sports news. Many people already use it on a daily basis and it is simple and free to follow. We hope that our fans will embrace this new format and see it as another opportunity to interact with our teams," Jeremy Weber, Eagles Sports Information Director, said.
Fans who do not have a Twitter account can follow the action by visiting www.twitter.com/NTCCathletics. There is also a live Twitter feed at www.ntcceagles.com (right side of the main athletics page).
This year the NJCAA chose a standardized statistics software that does not currently allow live online play-by-play game updates. Weber said that this feature will be added as soon as the technology is made available.
