The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo team will send four athletes to compete in the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming this June. The team wrapped up the regular season last weekend at Wharton County College.

Kyler Bramhall (header) and Zack Bocco (heeler) finished the season as Southern Region reserve champion team ropers and will be representing NTCC in that event. Bocco was also the reserve champion All-Around Cowboy in standings, so he†qualifies to†compete in the Steer Wrestling event as well.†Wacey Hathcock qualified in Saddle Bronc Riding by finishing in third place. Sadie Johnson finished third in Goat Tying and will represent the NTCC women's team.

"I am very confident that we will have a shot at multiple national titles and a strong force in the men?s team as well. I am very proud of all of our athletes this year," CJ Mohl, NTCC Head Rodeo Coach, said. "It was a great season that came down to the last performance to see how it all turned out and our athletes did a fantastic job pulling through setting themselves up for a trip to Casper."

The NTCC men's team came in third place overall in the Southern Region, just missing a chance to send a full team to the CNFR. The NTCC women's team finished fifth place overall.
