Northeast Texas Community College and renowned author Lou Antonelli are offering Creative Writing 101 again at the Main Campus on FM 1735.
Antonelli?s short fiction has been published in the U.S., Canada, England, Portugal, India and Australia, and gathered up in four separate collections; the most recent ?Letters from Gardner ? A Writing Odyssey? includes 16 short stories and the correspondence between the author and the editor of Asimov?s Science Fiction, Gardner Dozois.
Antonelli will share writing tips and techniques designed to help students become published authors themselves.
Antonelli says Creative Writing 101 relates to all forms of writing and will benefit every writer from the novice to the pro. During the class, students will learn the building blocks for writing a short story or novel.
Antonelli says every student will learn how to tap into their natural story-telling ability, and more importantly, how to set that down in print or pixels. The practical aspects of writing will be taught ? plot, pacing, characterization and exposition ? as well as how to get your story into print.
Lou is also a journalist and managing editor of The Clarksville Times.
