Culinary arts to host October dinners

The Northeast Texas Community College Culinary Arts Program will host two public dinners this fall on October 15 and 29. The events will be held at the NTCC Culinary Arts School in historic downtown Pittsburg and seating begins at 6 p.m.

The meal is first-come-first-served and no reservations will be accepted. The cost is $12 per person. Seating is limited to 80 guests. To go orders can be phoned in the day of the event at 903-434-8333. The dinner is prepared and served by students enrolled in culinary arts classes this semester. †

The October 15 meal will have a Fall Harvest theme. The menu consists of Autumn pear salad with candied walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette, chicken roulade with stuffed spinach and cheese, wild rice pilaf, French ratatouille and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

The October 29 theme is Falling in Love with October. The menu includes roasted ginger butternut squash soup, old fashioned pineapple glazed ham, classic mac and cheese, maple bacon green beans, and warm peach cobbler for dessert.
