Psi Beta inducts new members

Northeast Texas Community College recently inducted new members into Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges. From left are current officers (second row), Trinity Dewveall (reporter), Hector Zuniga (vice-president), Latasha Triplett (president) and newly elected members, Keely Baker of Mount Pleasant, Teresa Miller of Pittsburg and Amanda Ross of Bogata. Other new members pictured (front row) are Cassandra Banda of Mount Pleasant, Stacie Orr of Pittsburg, Kassity Connor of Daingerfield, and Mary Smith of Gilmer. Psi Beta chapters sponsor programs, activities, and participation in community service projects along with opportunities to present research papers at regional meetings, attend national meetings, and compete for national awards. Students are chosen for membership based on their outstanding overall scholarship and their scholarship in the field of psychology. Psi Beta is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.
