The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a donation of $2,000 from the Robert Arellano Foundation.†These funds will provide two $1,000 scholarships for criminal justice students attending NTCC this fall.†Pictured at the check presentation is: (from left) Jeff Martin, Dr. Jon McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement, Wesley Martin, Rhonda Martin, James Aydelott, Tasha Martin, and Terri Aydelott. The scholarship was established in memory of Robert Arellano, a respected and decorated law enforcement officer and motorcycle enthusiast who served the community for several years. Arellano was killed in an accident while riding back from a dinner ride with some friends. Friends and family have created the ?Robert Arellano Dawg Fest? rally in his memory to help raise funds for his scholarship, as well as a local charity helping children in need.
