Theatre Northeast, the student theatre group of Northeast Texas Community College, will present its annual Children?s Play December 2 and 3 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This year?s production is Once Upon a Wolf by Steph DeFerie.

This fast and furious collection of fractured fairy tales with a modern twist tells what happens when the Big Bad Wolf decides he doesn't want to be big or bad anymore! Old Granny Stinkyfeet is just trying to tell the kiddies some stories but she's having trouble with the Wolf. He won't eat her like he's supposed to! Instead, he wants to be the good guy for a change, so he's off on a mission to become a hero - no matter how many people tell him it's impossible.

The cast includes Elizabeth Taraba, Benjamin Ruland, Alyssa Saunders, Chad Kennedy, Megan Moore and Destiny Holmes of Pittsburg; Francisco Arroyo of Chapel Hill; Alyson Cortez and Vasti Mejia of Mount Pleasant; Zach Hedges of Mount Vernon and Keli Rymer of Lago Vista, Texas.

Performances will be December 2 at 7:30 p.m. and December 3 at 2:05 p.m. Admission is $1 for grade school children, $3 for students (17 and under), $5 for general admission, and $3 for senior citizens, NTCC faculty and staff. For more information, call the Whatley Center box office at 903-434-8181.
