Retirement reception held for Gov. Bill Ratliff

Northeast Texas Community College held a reception Thursday in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts to honor Gov. Bill Ratliff for his six years of service on the NTCC Board of Trustees. Ratliff announced his retirement from the board at the regular August meeting. Ratliff began serving in Place Five on the board in 2012. The board will appoint a new member to fill the vacant place and serve the remainder of Ratliff’s term, which will be up for election in 2020.

We are certainly sad to lose Governor Ratliff from our board of trustees. His experience and knowledge of Texas politics and educational policy has been a huge asset to the college.  He truly embodies the spirit of a public servant and we are so grateful for his wise leadership and years of service on the Board,” Dr. Ron Clinton, NTCC President, said.
