Graduation

Northeast Texas Community College offers four associate degrees and a number of certificates. Students have the option of meeting graduation requirements of the current catalog or those outlined in the catalog under which they entered Northeast Texas Community College, provided the catalog is dated no more than five years prior to the expected graduation date.

Commencement ceremonies are held in May, August and December. Refer to class schedules for commencement/graduation application deadlines.

To be considered as a candidate for a degree and/or certificate, the student must meet with an advisor for an official degree audit and submit a formal application for graduation on or before the date specified in the College calendar.

The following steps should be followed when applying for graduation:

  1. Each student must apply for graduation. An electronic application is available on myEagle portal, under the Student tab. On the left side menu select Forms. Look for the link to the appropriate term, fill out, and submit the form. If you no longer have access to your myEagle portal, you may click here for a .pdf version which can be printed out, completed and returned.

  2. Each student should have a degree audit completed by an advisor.

  3. The electronic application will automatically send to the Registrar's Office. The printed application for graduation must be returned to the Registrar's Office in person, via email to registrar@ntcc.edu, by fax to 903-434-4429, or by mail to NTCC Registrar, PO Box 1307, Mount Pleasant, TX 75456-1307.

  4. All of the above steps need to be completed by the posted deadlines found in the schedule of classes. Dates are also listed in myEagle portal under the 'Important Dates' section.
