The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to host Flashback, Louisiana’s premier oldies show band, on Saturday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Their show, “At The Hop”, is a 1950's-60's" rock ‘n roll show that will bring back some wonderful memories of the songs that were popular when life in our country was so much simpler!
The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that it will be returning on Friday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. for a socially-distanced piano concert featuring NTCC President Dr. Ron Clinton.
The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department will host its first exhibit of the 2018-2019 school year September 7-26 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A collection of drawings and watercolors by Steven Barker will be on display for public viewing during this time. A reception with the artist will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley foyer.
The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College recently announced its 2018-2019 entertainment lineup. Season tickets are on sale now and individual ticket sales begin Wednesday, Aug. 15.
The Entertainment Series, which is included in all Friends of the Whatley season ticket packages, kicks off with the 3 Redneck Tenors on September 25. They are a ?new breed? of tenors, combining musical comedy with classically-trained singers to create a truly entertaining experience. The 3 Redneck Tenors are sponsored by Ruby R. Neely.
Guitarist Andrew Daniel and violinist Mark Miller will perform†Songs and Dances of the Americas†at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 15 in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.†The program includes†History of the Tango†by Piazzolla and†Mountain Songs†by Robert Beaser.
J.T. and Kaye Brison recently gave $3,000 to sponsor the upcoming performance of The Bellamy Brothers at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College. The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department will host the Mount Pleasant Art Society Annual Membership Show March 10-30 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The competitive show features artwork from a variety of local artists. A reception will be held Saturday, March 10 from 2:00-3:30 p.m., where the winners will be announced. The gallery is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Please call 903-434-8181 to ensure that the gallery is open before you come to visit.
