The Mount Pleasant Fine Arts Club recently gave $500 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. The funds will be used to provide a scholarship for an NTCC student majoring in art, music or drama. The group has been contributing to scholarships since 1985 when the college first opened. They also presented a $25 honorarium to the NTCC Art Department. The club made the presentation while holding their club meeting on campus in the art lab. Melba Spann (front right), along with other members of the Mount Pleasant Fine Arts Club, are pictured presenting the check to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement. Nita May, NTCC Director of Development and Debbie Strong, NTCC Associate Professor of Art, are also pictured (right).
