NTCC partners with Pittsburg High School for College and Career Fair

Northeast Texas Community College recently partnered with Pittsburg High School to participate in its College and Career Fair, giving students the opportunity to explore a wide range of academic pathways and future careers. Representatives from NTCC’s Agriculture, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, NTCC Student Services, Math, Science, Health Sciences, Funeral Services, and other programs were on hand to visit with students and answer questions. Melody Mott, NTCC College Liaison, helped coordinate the event.

"The event was a great way for Pittsburg High School students to meet with NTCC students and staff. We appreciate Pittsburg High School's counselors Regena Myers and Stacey Stuard for helping us facilitate this. Jennifer Sumrow and Miles Young were also a big part in making this possible," Mott said.

NTCC extends its appreciation to Pittsburg High School for the invitation and for providing a valuable opportunity to connect with local students. Events like this reflect NTCC’s ongoing commitment to partnering with area schools to support college and career readiness across Northeast Texas.

“This was a wonderful chance to meet students where they are and help them discover the many possibilities available in criminal justice,” said Elizabeth Bailey, NTCC Criminal Justice Faculty. “I really enjoyed talking with them about the careers our program can lead to and helping them envision what their future could look like.”
