Northeast Texas Community College baseball is celebrating an impressive list of postseason honors, as the Eagles earned multiple All-Region XIV and Region XIV North Conference recognitions following a standout season.
Leading the way is Head Coach Andy Morgan, who was named both Region XIV Coach of the Year and Region XIV North Conference Coach of the Year—a testament to his leadership and the team’s success throughout the season. The milestone recognition comes on the heels of another major achievement, as Morgan recently recorded his 200th career win as head coach of the Eagles, further solidifying his impact on the program.
On the field, several Eagles were recognized for their outstanding individual performances. Cooper Schwank earned All-Region XIV honors as a starting pitcher and was also named Region XIV North Conference Pitcher of the Year.
In addition, NTCC placed multiple players on the All-Conference First Team, including:
Kaleb Kuhn, starting pitcher
Tanner Webb, starting pitcher
John Kent, second base
BJ Lumkins, outfield
Several Eagles also received honorable mention All-Conference recognition:
Cameron Reiter, third base
Chris Whitaker, starting pitcher
Boston Seahorn, shortstop
Dr. Jon McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement, praised both the team and its leadership. “Coach Morgan’s recognition as Coach of the Year at both the region and conference levels speaks volumes about the culture of excellence he has built within our program,” McCullough said. “Reaching 200 wins is an incredible milestone and a reflection of his consistency and leadership over time. We are equally proud of these student-athletes, whose hard work and dedication have earned them well-deserved recognition among the best in Region XIV.”
The Eagles will carry that momentum into postseason play as they host the Region XIV North Tournament on campus this week, with their first game set for today.
