Students interested in participating in the 2020 NTCC Work4College Program should plan to turn in their completed applications no later than April 15. It is available online at www.work4college.com.
The Work4College Program is a unique experience that allows participants (from high school juniors to adults) to work in meaningful jobs on campus throughout the summer. In addition to getting paid, students also EARN their college in advance by accruing scholarship money in their account.

While the majority of the country was sheltering in place this week, volunteers from the Northeast Texas Community College Social Work Club were conducting curb-side delivery Thursday at the Eagle Pantry.
Jacob Lambie, Executive Officer of Alpha Mu Chi, Phi Theta Kappa’s chapter at Northeast Texas Community College, recently completed his term as a Texas Regional Vice-President, but this was just the beginning of his leadership journey. The Temple Masonic Lodge #70 in Mount Pleasant recently presented the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation with a check for $25,000. The funds will be used to establish an endowed fund that will continue to provide scholarships for NTCC students into the future. Half of the scholarships are designated for students in workforce training or the NTCC Work4College program and the other half are for general academic scholarships. Preference will be given to students with a father or grandfather who is/was a Mason at Temple Lodge #70.

Jalyn English was recently named the winner of the 2020 Chitsey Award, granted each year to the student of Honors Northeast who after their first semester, most exceeded expectations. The award comes with a $200 check.
On Wednesday, Northeast Texas Community College announced it will extend spring break by one week for students due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. While college operations will resume in a limited capacity on Monday, March 23, the campus will remain closed to the public. Plans are in the works to move most courses online for the remainder of the semester.
