NTCC receives $6k gift for Work Scholarship Program
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received an anonymous $6,000 donation to sponsor six students in the new NTCC Work Scholarship Program. Nita May (left), NTCC Director of Development, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement, accepted the gift on behalf of the Foundation. NTCC Foundation Board holds annual meeting
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation Board recently held its annual business meeting. Dr. Jim Archer, a retired NTCC professor, was installed as president by outgoing president, Judy Weiss. Other officers elected included Jane Scharlach, Vice President and Rick Nelson, Secretary.†The NTCC Foundation is a non-profit corporation that was established in 1984.
Fine Arts Club of Mount Pleasant gives scholarship
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $500 gift to benefit a student majoring in fine arts. Bestselling author Laura Schroff speaks at NTCC
Bestselling author and motivational speaker, Laura Schroff, spoke at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts this week. The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation sponsored the event as part of its annual Distinguished Lecture Series. Schroff shared the inspirational true story behind her book,†An Invisible Thread, which shot to the top of the New York Times Bestseller List after its release in 2011. After the lecture, Schroff visited with guests and signed copies of her book.
