The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team just missed out a trip to the JUCO World Series Wednesday after a heartbreaking 8-7 loss against San Jacinto College in the Region 14 championship game.

After going scoreless in the first inning, both teams? strong offenses got fired up in the second. San Jac scored two and NTCC answered with a three-run homer by Matt Scheurich to take the lead. San Jac managed to tie things up in the third and take a brief lead in the top of the fourth as they added one more.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team secured their spot in the finals of the NJCAA Region 14 Tournament Monday night as they beat San Jacinto College 7-6. The Eagles will face off at 5 p.m. against the winner of this afternoon?s matchup between San Jacinto and Alvin.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team is one step closer to the NJCAA World Series as they beat Galveston College 9-5 Sunday in the Region 14 Tournament. The win came on the heels of an 8-6 win against Blinn College on Saturday.

NTCC got things moving in the first inning against Galveston, when†Manny Garcia†homered on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Jordan Martinez†pitched†the Eagles†to victory.

The†Northeast Texas Community College Eagles†baseball team beat Weatherford College 11-9 Wednesday in an away game. The Eagles managed through an early push by Weatherford in the first inning where NTCC coughed up six runs, but came back to win 11-9.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game.†NTCC†collected 15 hits and Weatherford College had eight.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team split a double header with Hutchinson on Thursday. The Eagles won game one 7-1 and dropped the second game 9-7.

In the opener, the eagles had a big third inning which propelled them to the win.

After dropping two games to Ranger College last weekend, the Northeast Texas Community College Eagles baseball team returned home to face TCS Post Grad Wednesday. The Eagles dominated the game, clearing a six-run shortfall with a big 10-run inning. The team cushioned their lead and secured a 22-12 victory.

Brady Batten helped lead the team to their win.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles baseball team traveled to Ranger College this past weekend and found themselves on the losing side of a three-game series. The Eagles lost the first game 7-6 before coming back to win game two 8-2. Ranger took back the series in game three with a 7-5 win.

In game one, the Eagles tried to recover from a four-run deficit, but the late-game rally was unsuccessful.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles baseball team hosted two Kansas teams, Pratt Community College and Hutchinson Community College, over the past weekend. The Eagles came out on top 3-1 for the four-game stretch. Home runs, which included a walk-off by Kyle Moos in the tenth inning, helped lead to the Eagles?

Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Soccer finished the regular season strong last week. Both the men and women wrapped up the regular season with wins against Paris Junior College.†

The women beat PJC 4-0, finishing the regular season 14-3. They will host Navarro College Thursday at 3 p.m. for the first round of the Region 14 playoffs.†
