The Northeast Texas Community College Eagle Rodeo team had three members qualify in the Team Roping event for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming and competed June 15 to June 21, 2025.
NTCC was represented by Teyton Barton (Heeler) who was partnered with East Texas A&M University’s Garrett Freeman (Header), and the Eagle duo of Kelon Andrews (Header) and Hayden Sanders (Heeler) made up the Eagle qualifiers.

The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees held its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 24. This marked the first meeting under the leadership of NTCC's sixth president, Dr. Kevin Rose. The following is a summary of reports given and action that was taken at the June meeting:
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a donation from Dwain and Linda Blount of Mount Pleasant. Their gift will be used to sponsor a student in the Work4College Program. Pictured (from left) is Dwain, Linda and Mason May, Director of Work4College. There are currently 81 students participating in the summer Work4College Program. Northeast Texas Community College will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The college will resume regular hours on Monday, July 7th.
Students may still access online courses, register, make payments and manage other college business at myeagle.ntcc.edu. The second 5-week summer session begins Monday, July 14th and students can still sign up for classes.

Northeast Texas Community College welcomed a great group of incoming students to campus this week for the first EagleGanza event of the summer. The full-day experience gave participants the opportunity to meet faculty and staff, connect with other new students, and take care of important enrollment steps like advising, testing, financial aid, and registration—all in one place.
Northeast Texas Community College student Monse Rivero-Sanchez has been awarded the 2025 Phi Theta Kappa Foundation Board of Trustees Excellence in Leadership Scholarship, a prestigious national honor that includes a $16,000 award toward her continued education. She is the first NTCC student ever selected for this highly competitive scholarship.
