The Whatley Employee Enhancement Fund was established in 2000 through a gift from the late Mr. James Whatley. The fund supports professional development activities and instructional enhancements that would not otherwise be possible. Faculty and staff who have worked for the college for at least one year are eligible to apply for these funds through an annual application process. A committee of Foundation Board members review and select worthy projects for support. Since its inception, the fund has awarded $43,308 to improve programs and services at NTCC.

The Special Events and Distinguished Lectures sponsored by the NTCC Foundation assist the college in fulfilling its mission to serve as an educational and cultural resource for northeast Texas.

The Distinguished Lecture Series was developed to provide cultural events that inspire people in our rural area to not only have dreams, but also to pursue them. Invited speakers all have a common thread-the message of accomplishment and achievement in spite of adversity and challenge.

Our Special Events provide quality live entertainment for the citizens of northeast Texas.

Modifications to the Foundation Naming Policy were recommended by the Advancement Office and approved by the NTCC Board on November 17, 2015
