ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities: High School & Dual Credit Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned high schools, students, parents, and school personnel
Provide guidance to dual credit and prospective students regarding college readiness, enrollment, and academic planning
Conduct one-on-one advising sessions with students and families related to academic goals, course selection, and transition to college
Manage all dual credit enrollment on behalf of students, as dual credit students cannot self-enroll; complete all admissions applications, registration, and required documentation for each student
Coordinate and deliver presentations, workshops, and outreach activities at high schools to promote college access and success
Support students in completing financial aid applications, including FAFSA and scholarship opportunities
Maintain regular communication and follow-up with students to ensure completion of enrollment steps and successful transition to NTCC
Identify and address barriers to enrollment and persistence
Secondary Responsibilities: Student Services Center Support (On-Campus)
Serve as a front-line assistance professional within the Student Services Center, applying the same admissions, advising, registration, and financial aid processes used with dual credit students to assist on-campus students
Provide holistic advising support, assisting students with academic planning, course selection, degree progress, and navigating institutional requirements
Assist students in completing key enrollment processes, including admissions, registration, and financial aid requirements, ensuring timely progression through enrollment steps
Utilize institutional systems (e.g., Jenzabar, PowerFAIDS) to review student records, monitor progress, and support informed decision-making
Collaborate with Financial Aid, Advising, Admissions, and other Student Services areas to resolve student issues and remove barriers to success
Support front-line service delivery during peak enrollment periods and institutional priority times
Contribute to a student-ready culture by ensuring consistent, welcoming, and solution-oriented service experiences General Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of college programs, policies, and procedures and communicate the policies, procedures, and requirements to students and families in a clear and supportive manner
Support institutional enrollment and retention efforts
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student interactions, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with institutional standards
Participate in training, professional development, and institutional initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in any field required.
Minimum two years related experience working with high school or college students or young adults in an academic or career services capacity preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required; bilingual person preferred.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
The ability to maintain and foster strong relationships with state agencies and local educational institutions is required.
Working knowledge of a student information system and/or knowledge of software applications is essential.
Must be available for regular evening hours and occasional weekend assignments.
