Students within the biology program have numerous achievements including but not limited to acceptance into nursing programs, dental hygiene programs, physical therapy assistance programs, medical laboratory technology programs or transfer to university programs. Scores of students who began their college biology studies at NTCC have graduated from medical, dental, optometry, chiropractic, physician assistant, and physical therapy professional schools in Texas and throughout the nation. NTCC was one of the first 5 community colleges in the state of Texas to sign a 2 + 2 Articulation Agreement with Texas A&M University in Biomedical Sciences, in part, due to the strength of the laboratory science faculty. This agreement allows NTCC students who meet the criteria to seamlessly transfer to TAMU to receive the B.S. in Biomedical Sciences.
Students within the honors biology program have presented their work at the Great Plains Regional Honors Council and the National Collegiate Honors Council Conventions. NTCC biology students have been accepted to and participated in prestigious summer internships programs at Boston University, Baylor College of Medicine and Johns Hopkins Medical School.
