The Eagles answered with one additional run in the bottom of the sixth. The seventh inning went scoreless before both teams picked up momentum in the eighth.

Galveston scored two in the top of the eighth and NTCC followed with a three-run rally, narrowing the deficit to 7-6. NTCC held Galveston in the top of the ninth, but was unable to score in the bottom of the inning, leaving the final 7-6 in favor of Galveston
