NTCC faculty present at CSCC conference in Arizona

Northeast Texas Community College was well represented at the 63rd Annual Council for the Study of Community Colleges (CSCC) Conference in Tempe, Arizona. Faculty members Jim Ward and Carmen Shurtleff both presented at the conference on different topics. 

Ward gave a talk on Understanding the Inequities in State of Texas Community College Appropriation Funding. Shurtleff's discussion was on Barriers to Equity: Where is the Social Justice in Food Insecurity for Community College Students?

The Council for the Study of Community Colleges (CSCC) is an affiliate of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and a project of the Center for the Study of Community Colleges (www.centerforcommunitycolleges.org) hosted by the Office of Community College Research and Leadership (OCCRL) at the University Illinois, Urbana- Champaign. Council members include university-based researchers and community college practitioners who further scholarship on the community college enterprise.
