The theatre department at Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to present A Night of Shorts…But Not the Bermuda Kind April 21-23 on the stage of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The production will include five short plays written and directed by Dr. Page Petrucka, NTCC Associate Professor of Theatre.

Northeast Texas Community College was well represented at the 63rd Annual Council for the Study of Community Colleges (CSCC) Conference in Tempe, Arizona. Faculty members Jim Ward and Carmen Shurtleff both presented at the conference on different topics.
Ward gave a talk on Understanding the Inequities in State of Texas Community College Appropriation Funding. Shurtleff's discussion was on Barriers to Equity: Where is the Social Justice in Food Insecurity for Community College Students?

The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department will hold its annual student art show from Friday, April 8th through Tuesday, April 27th in the foyer gallery of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The exhibit will feature over 100 student artworks in design, drawing, ceramics, photography, and digital media. A reception will be held Wednesday, April 13th in the Whatley Center foyer at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come, meet our amazing students, and enjoy the exhibit.
Medical Assistants are a vital part of healthcare as they work alongside physicians, mainly in outpatient or ambulatory care facilities, such as medical offices and clinics. Medical assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties making them the heart of healthcare.
Alpha Mu Chi, Northeast Texas Community College’s chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, successfully campaigned for the Texas Region President position at the regional convention earlier this month.
