Testing Services mission is to promote and maintain the highest quality testing environment for prospective students, current students, staff/faculty, and guests. What Is The Cost Of The TSIA2 Test?
The TSIA2 exam is $24.00 for the complete exam or $12.00 per section.


What Skills Are Tested On The TSIA2 Test?
The TSIA2 will consist of two multiple-choice sections: Mathematics and English Language Arts Reading (ELAR), an integrated reading and writing section. The TSIA2 will also include a WritePlacer Essay section.

Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA/TSIA2)

The Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA or TSIA2) is the state-mandated placement test (Texas Education Code §51.3062) that Texas public institutions must use to determine a student's readiness for college-level courses. The purpose of the TSIA test is to provide you with useful information about your academic skills in math, reading, and writing. You cannot "pass" or "fail" the placement tests, but it is very important that you do your very best on these tests so that you will have an accurate measure of your academic skills.

Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ)

Northeast Texas Community College can proctor your computer based Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)- Computer Based Testing (CBT).  Applicants passing the exam will be issued their license by TCEQ typically within one week of the exam date.

It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure they have received an approval letter prior to requesting an appointment.
