Whether you're a first-time teen driver or an adult seeking your license, Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) offers comprehensive, affordable, and state-approved driver education programs to help you succeed on the road. Our courses combine classroom instruction with real-world practice to ensure each student becomes a confident, safe, and responsible driver.

Our Programs

Teen Driver Education (Ages 15–17)

  • A full 76-hour state-approved program including:
  • 32 hours of classroom instruction
  • 7 hours of behind-the-wheel driving
  • 7 hours of in-car observation
  • 30 hours of supervised practice (10 must be at night)
  • State eligibility guidance for obtaining a provisional license

Adult Driver Education (Ages 18+)

  • A focused, one-day course covering all the essentials for adult drivers:
  • 6 hours of classroom instruction
  • Includes DPS Written Exam
  • Receive ADE-1317 certificate for DPS Skills Test
  • Learn Texas traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving habits
