Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) offers a TDLR-approved Adult Driver Education Program designed for individuals aged 18 and older who are seeking to obtain their Texas driver's license. Our program provides comprehensive instruction to equip adult learners with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and responsible driving.
Program Overview
Our Adult Driver Education Program meets the state-mandated requirements and includes:
- 6 Hours of Classroom Instruction
- Covers Texas traffic laws, road signs, safe driving practices, and the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving.
- DPS Written Exam
- Administered at the conclusion of the course.
- ADE-1317 Certificate of Completion
- Provided upon successful completion of the course, required for the driving skills test.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age: Must be 18 years or older.
- Permit: Must obtain a Texas learner's permit prior to scheduling the driving skills test.
- Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) Program: Completion of the ITAD course is required before taking the driving skills test.
