Student Services hosts Scholarship Awards Ceremony

The Student Services team at Northeast Texas Community College was pleased to host a Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 30th in collaboration with Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Scholarships for NTCC students who have applied and been accepted to attend TAMU-T were awarded on the recommendation of their NTCC College Navigator.  NTCC College Navigators chose students from their assigned cohorts who they had worked closely with to assist in the pursuit of their Associates Degree while at NTCC.

Cosmetology Club wins Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths

The Northeast Texas Community College Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths event was a huge success! Ten booths served up a variety of delicious dishes for sampling by a large crowd of students, faculty, staff and community members.  The event raised almost $2,400 that was split evenly between the participating clubs and organizations. 

Each ticket holder was able to cast votes for their favorite booths. The winners of the People’s Choice awards were as follows:

Culinary Arts partners with local restaurants for series of couples cooking classes

The Northeast Texas Community College Culinary Arts Program is pleased to announce an exciting series of couples cooking classes that will be held this May-June. NTCC is partnering with local restaurants to offer participants the chance to learn how to prepare some of their most popular dishes directly from the chefs who create them.

Description of Job Duties

  • Assisting with typing exams, memos, letters, book orders, P.O.'s, travel requests, and office hour schedules for each semester as needed.
  • Answering the telephone, and taking messages
  • Maintain departmental budgets
  • Arrange for photocopying and printing when needed
  • Maintain supplies for copy machines and teaching supplies
  • Pick up faculty mail from administration building/distribute mail
  • Assist with special mailings regarding faculty projects
  • Train work-study students when applicable
