Northeast Texas Community College will be closed from Monday, Dec. 21 through Friday, Jan. 1. Offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, Jan. 4.
The Spring 2021 semester begins January 19. Students may still apply and register online via OneLogin while the college is closed. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday break!
The latest issue of The Eagle is now online! Be sure to check it out. This edition includes a great story on the Guardians of the Children biker organization. The article features two NTCC faculty members who are a part of The Guardians. There is also a Christmas section with “letters to Santa” from some of our students and a “Grinch” pancake recipe for Christmas morning.
Jalyn English, a sophomore Presidential Scholar in Honors Northeast, was recently named Outstanding Music Appreciation Honors Student by the NTCC Division of Creative and Performing Arts.
"Jalyn's dedication to the craft of composition was evident in several original works he completed for the Honors Seminar. His final work, presented during the performance final, was well received and encouraged the audience contemplate the nature of impermanence in an uncertain world," Dr. Andrew Daniel, Associate Professor of Music, said.
Our friends at Texas A&M University-Texarkana at NTCC send holiday greetings to the entire NTCC community.
The NTCC Division of Creative and Performing Arts recently named Tamara Kearney as Outstanding Design 1 student for the Fall 2020 semester.
Northeast Texas Community College is accepting applications for Day and Evening EMT Basic classes. Go to www.ntcc.edu/ems to fill out the online application. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a clinical component added.
While it looked a lot different from our normal commencement, the NTCC class of December 2020 walked the stage Friday in a socially-distanced ceremony. For those of you who didn't get to watch it live, you can view it at the links below. There is also a separate link for photos that were taken that night, which are free to download, share and print.
Congratulations, graduates! We are so proud of you.
The NTCC Physical Education department has named Sherry Delacruz-Cason as Outstanding Physical Education Student for the Fall 2020 semester.
“Sherry Delacruz Cason has been my most consistent and hard-working physical education student during this Fall semester. She is a role-model for all of us to take a few minutes each day to work out," Dr. Tom Seabourne, physical education professor, said.
The NTCC Art Department recently honored Amalyah DeLisi as the outstanding drawing student for the 2020 Fall semester.
"Amalyah DeLisi is the type of art student that doesn't come along every day. She has shown that her talent is unique. She is a hard worker and takes her assignments very seriously and works to the best of her ability. Her personality along with her talent makes her the ideal student every instructor enjoys having in their class," Maurya Beth Holland, art adjunct instructor, said.
