The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will welcome a night of country music history as Tre Twitty and Tayla Lynn take the stage for a special performance that celebrates the legendary sounds of their families. The event is sponsored by the NTCC Foundation.
Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) and Sam Houston State University (SHSU) have announced a new five-year Memorandum of Understanding (2026–2031) designed to expand transfer opportunities and support student success across Northeast Texas.
The agreement creates a more seamless pathway for students to transition from NTCC to SHSU by improving credit transfer, strengthening academic advising, and increasing collaboration between the two institutions. Key components include coordinated degree pathways, reverse transfer opportunities, and joint recruitment and outreach efforts.
The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on March 31, 2026, highlighting student success, campus initiatives, and future projects.

NTCC Funeral Service Education Faculty are responsible for providing quality instruction to students thus
ensuring the fulfillment of departmental educational goals and objectives. These responsibilities require
leadership in both academic and workforce areas and include meeting student retention goals, directing and
participating in educational planning, evaluating student performance, motivating and advising students, and
ensuring program compliance with all applicable accrediting agencies.

Northeast Texas Community College will host its annual Easter Bash on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the NTCC Athletics Complex, offering a fun-filled afternoon for students, employees, and the community.
The event will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. and feature a large-scale Easter egg hunt with 1,000 colorful eggs filled with candy and surprises scattered across the field. Attendees are encouraged to bring baskets and arrive early to be ready for the start of the hunt.
