Mardi Gras Sock Drive collects 233 pairs of socks for local seniors
As part of Northeast Texas Community College’s Mardi Gras Madness celebration, the Office of Student Development hosted its first-ever Mardi Gras Sock Drive—and the campus community delivered in a big way.
Thanks to the generosity of students, staff, and campus organizations, 233 pairs of new socks were collected for Greenhill Villas of Mount Pleasant, a local care facility. Socks are one of the most requested yet often overlooked items in such facilities, and this donation will help bring much-needed comfort and warmth to residents.
