Alumni Spotlight: Hannah Jones
Hannah Jones, originally from Daingerfield, Texas, now lives in Colfax, Louisiana, with her husband and two children. She worked four years as an ICU nurse in Tyler and Longview before becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), a role she has held in Louisiana for 13 years.

Workforce Solutions to host Titus County Job Fair at NTCC on March 3
Workforce Solutions of Northeast Texas will host the Titus County Job Fair on Tuesday, March 3, on the campus of Northeast Texas Community College. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the NTCC Student Union Building, located at 2886 FM 1735 in Mount Pleasant.
NTCC launches new campus safety app
Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is proud to announce the launch of SaferWatch, a campus safety app designed to provide fast, easy access to emergency assistance and safety information.
Stephanie Hernandez named a PTK New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar
Stephanie Hernandez, a Phi Theta Kappa student at Northeast Texas Community College, has been named a 2026 New Century Transfer Scholar and will receive a $2,750 scholarship.
New Century Transfer Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments, leadership, activities, and how they extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom. More than 2,300 students from nearly 1,400 college campuses nationwide were nominated. Only one New Century Transfer Scholar is selected from each state.
José Fuentes named a top four finalist for International President of Phi Theta Kappa
Police Department presents Russell Taylor with retired credentials

On Tuesday, Feb. 24, the Northeast Texas Community College Police Department presented Russell Taylor with his Retired Officer credentials in recognition of his years of dedicated service to the college. Taylor retired in January and is the first officer in department history to receive this ceremonial honor.
Board of Trustees holds February meeting

The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Vice-Chair Russell East led the meeting in the absence of Chairman Robin Sharp. All other trustees were present.
