Description of Job Duties:
The Resource Development Specialist will work closely with the Work4College Program Director along with NTCC Advancement staff to support all areas of private fundraising including: Implementing marketing/communications strategies for targeting prospects, donors, businesses, community partners, and private foundations; Identifying funding sources to support and grow and help sustain the Work4College Program; working closely with the Advancement Office to assist with development and implementation strategies for individual giving, annual/year-end giving, online giving, employee campaigns, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving.
- Develops and maintains contacts within the public and private sectors to broaden the community's awareness of the Work4College Program along with other college programs in order to increase private contributions.
- Develops revenues for the Work4College Program along with other programs through timely submission of well-researched and well written high-quality proposals.
- Develops revenues for the Work4College Program along with other programs through the use of digital fundraising, crowdsourcing, and use of social media platforms.
- Develops and implements an annual calendar of strategic donor communications to convey stewardship and impact of gifts made to the Work4College Program and other NTCC programs.
- Works with the Work4College Program Director along with faculty and staff to determine goals, objectives, scope, feasibility, and funding needs for NTCC programs.
- Works with appropriate personnel to research, develop, write, and submit letters of inquiry, concept papers and proposals to donors;
- Supports the planning and growth of alumni relations and career/job placement office and helps with planning on other developmental related events.
- Assist with collecting and maintaining records of giving by donors to the Work4College Program.
- Helps design and assist with donor recognition.
- Some evening and weekend work required.
- Some travel required.
- Requires the kind of teamwork, supervision, and personal interaction that cannot be had in a home office situation; therefore, on-site attendance is a job requirement.
- Light Work; Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
