How to Apply to Cosmetology Program
Thank you for your interest in the Cosmetology Operator Program at Northeast Texas Community College. The NTCC Cosmetology Department is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Enrollment for the Cosmetology Operator Program is offered once per year, with classes beginning each fall semester. The application for the upcoming fall semester is available on this page beginning February 1 each year.
Manicure Certificate Program
The NTCC Manicure program is a 2-semester, 600-Hour certificate program, which includes fall and spring semester, August-May. This program leads to a Texas Manicurist Licensure. This program is approved and monitored by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and meets all criteria for a Texas Manicurist Licensure upon full completion and credit of the courses and state board examinations.

The Barber Instructor at Northeast Texas Community College will be responsible for teaching barbering techniques, theory, and practical skills to students, preparing them for licensure and successful careers in the barbering industry. This role requires a passion for education, strong technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering student success in a dynamic learning environment.

Cosmetology Operator Certificate
The NTCC cosmetology operator program is a 9-month 1000 Hour certificate program, which includes Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters. This program is approved and monitored by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and meets all criteria for a Texas Cosmetology Operator Licensure upon full completion and credit of the courses and state board examinations. Students will attend face-to-face classes as well as participate in online training through blackboard and MindTap.
